FAQs

Homeland Pet Hotel

  • How far in advance should I book the reservation at Homeland Pet Hotel?

We recommend securing your pet boarding reservation as early as possible once you've determined your travel dates. Our facility fills up rapidly during busy periods throughout the year. Contact us today to reserve your spot and learn more about our boarding services.
  • What vaccinations do you require my pets to have?

State regulations require all pets to maintain current vaccinations including annual DHPP booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines. Before accepting your reservation, we must confirm your pet's vaccination records are up to date. You can send these records to homelandpethotel@gmail.com beforehand or provide them during drop-off.
  • Can my pets share an enclosure during their stay?

We welcome family pets to stay together in shared accommodations when space allows for their safety and comfort. While we generally house pets of comparable size together, we'll make exceptions when the welfare of smaller animals remains our priority. Additional pets in the same enclosure receive a 25% discount. Contact us today for more details about our boarding arrangements.
  • Do you exercise all dogs together?

Larger dogs enjoy individual exercise areas that can be shared with their family members. For safety purposes, we don't mix large and small dogs during exercise time. Smaller dogs of similar size and personality often play together, and we've observed they appreciate socializing with other guests. We'll consider special arrangements with owner approval. Call us for additional information about our boarding procedures.
  • Can I bring my pet's food, bed, dog blankets, and toys?

We encourage bringing familiar items from home when dropping off your pet. Maintaining your pet's regular diet helps prevent digestive issues. If you prefer not to bring food, we offer Kirkland Chicken and Vegetables dry kibble, which receives a 5-star rating from Dog Food Advisor, a trusted industry rating source. We supply kennel decks for larger animals and small cots for smaller dogs. Blankets are available for non-destructive pets. Personal items carrying your scent can provide additional comfort during their stay. Contact us to learn what amenities we provide.
  • Is your facility climate-controlled?

Our facility maintains central heating and air conditioning to ensure comfortable temperatures year-round. When pets stay in outdoor runs or when indoor space reaches capacity, we use misters, fans, or additional bedding for comfort. We prioritize moving all animals indoors as space becomes available. While this process can be challenging during busy seasons, we transfer dogs to indoor accommodations as quickly as possible.
  • How often are dogs let out during the day and for how long?

We provide outdoor exercise twice daily for our guests. Morning sessions allow dogs to relieve themselves and get physical activity. Weather permitting, they spend at least thirty minutes outside while we sanitize their areas and refresh water and bedding. The afternoon session around 3:00 PM follows the same routine. During extreme heat, we shorten outdoor time for their safety and comfort. Similar adjustments occur during rain or severe weather conditions. We maximize time in our large exercise areas while adapting to weather conditions. Reach out today to learn more about our boarding schedule.
  • What are your hours?

Our office operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Saturday hours are 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and Sunday hours are 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Holiday schedules may vary and will be communicated when you make your reservation. Contact our team today to discover more about our boarding services.
  • Is there webcam access to my dog's kennel?

We don't provide camera access to individual kennels due to cost considerations and space limitations. We implement comprehensive safety measures to ensure your pet remains secure and content in our care. Our mission is providing sufficient peace of mind so you can enjoy your time away without concern for your pet's wellbeing. As a family-owned business with animal-loving staff members, we understand the bond you share with your pet. You're welcome to call during their stay for updates. We're committed to eliminating anxiety about leaving your cherished companion with us. Forbes reports that 85% of dog owners consider their pets family members, and we promise to treat yours as part of our family while they're here.
  • Can I take a tour?

We invite you to visit our facility during regular business hours. For a quieter experience that avoids the activity of meal and exercise times, consider scheduling your visit between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Call us to arrange a tour and learn more about our boarding process.
